Jason and Daniel’s Astronaut Wrench

Content

For our project, we needed to produce a machine that would unscrew a nut and screw it back into a different bolt in zero gravity, which is simulated by going upside down. Our machine completes this task by surrounding the nut, not allowing it to move up or down once it is off of the bolt. Our machine also holds both sides of the nut tightly, which allows for it to screw the nut on and off. Our tool is powered by one of the strong motors, and uses a touch sensor to activate this motion.
For our code, we decided to start with a wait for "touch" statement to activate the program. When touched, this turned the motor at top speed for unscrewing. When touch again, this stopped the motor. When pressed again, it turned the motor at top speed but this time for screwing. The motor then stopped when pressed again. The code was put in a while loop so to repeat the process as many times as desired by the user.
